80% of Injuries are Preventable. Find out if you are in the 80% or the remaining 20%.

Throughout my career, I've encountered a wide range of injuries and areas of discomfort. It's fascinating to observe that around 80% of these injuries could have been prevented, or at least minimized, with the right knowledge and approach. In this blog post, I'll shed light on the concept of preventable injuries, the resources available to address them, and the importance of personalized guidance for those who have tried conventional methods without finding relief.

We often come across patients suffering from nagging back pain or shoulder discomfort triggered by seemingly innocuous actions like reaching to the backseat of their car or lifting some grocery bags. I refer to these as "non-traumatic trauma" injuries. They arise from repetitive movements, poor posture, or imbalances in the body that accumulate over time. While they may not result from a single traumatic event, their impact can be significant and debilitating. You may be part of the 80%. And could greatly benefit from 5-10 minutes of deliberate training. Because we need to train for life. Life means lifting your kids out of their car seat, it means playing that beach volleyball game with friends or even going for that 12 hours drive to Florida.

For the 80% who fall into the preventable injury category, numerous resources are available to aid in your recovery and prevention journey. One valuable resource is Rehab Academy, where you can explore a wealth of information on full-body mobility and strength routines. We are posting written resources like these blog posts, also check out our growing social media pages for daily strength and mobility exercise. Additionally, platforms like YouTube offer an array of exercise concepts and techniques that can enhance your overall physical well-being to help you move freely and live fully!

However, there is a subset of patients, the remaining 20%, who diligently follow mobility routines and engage in regular exercise, yet still experience discomfort. For these individuals, a more targeted and personalized approach becomes crucial. Seeking specific guidance from a qualified professional can provide the missing piece of the puzzle. By collaborating with a knowledgeable expert, you can explore alternative methods and discover new approaches that may unlock the solution you've been searching for.

If you find yourself in the 20% who have tried conventional methods without finding relief, I encourage you to reach out and embark on a collaborative journey to find the root cause of your discomfort. This means you have given mobility routines a real chance, you engage in meaningful movement but are finding a limitation of pain with some action. Through open communication and a thorough examination, we can delve deeper into your unique circumstances, exploring new avenues and uncovering strategies you may not have tried before. Your journey towards comfort and improved well-being doesn't have to be a solo endeavour.

Injuries and discomfort are not inevitable, and a significant portion of them can be prevented or managed effectively. By utilizing the available resources, such as Rehab Academy and online platforms, we can empower ourselves with knowledge and techniques to safeguard our physical health. However, for those who need personalized guidance, it's essential to seek the expertise of professionals who can provide tailored solutions. Let's collaborate and explore the possibilities to find the answers you’ve been searching for. Together, we can pave the way to lasting comfort and well-being. Move freely to live fully!
